Reserve the elevator and loading space
Ask both property managers about freight-elevator reservations, loading hours, truck clearance and where the crew can park. Tell us about long hallways, gated access and narrow turns when requesting your quote. Building waiting time is part of the hourly move, so an agreed loading window can help keep the day on track.
Stairs and building paperwork
First- and second-floor stairs are included at no charge. A third floor or above involving stairs adds a flat $50. If your building needs a Certificate of Insurance, discuss it when booking; a COI not already discussed is an additional $25. Piano steps have separate item-specific pricing.
Choose the right crew for your apartment
Two movers and a 16-ft truck start at $300 for the first two hours, then $120 per additional hour. A one-bedroom move is not guaranteed to finish in two hours: furniture volume, packed boxes, loading access and travel time all matter. Larger apartments can use our three- or four-mover packages.
Prepare before handing over the keys
Pack and label boxes, keep medications and lease documents with you, and photograph your old apartment before leaving. Furniture pads, equipment and furniture disassembly and reassembly are included. Shrink wrap and mattress covers cost extra. Confirm where beds and large furniture should go at your new address.

- Can you move a third-floor apartment?
- Yes, share the floors and stair layout at both addresses. First and second floors are free; third floor and above involving stairs adds a flat $50. Piano steps are priced separately.
- Is my one-bedroom move always $300?
- No. $300 covers two movers, a 16-ft truck and the first two hours. Additional time is $120 per hour; distance past the included 20 miles and applicable published extras can change the total.
- What if my building requires a COI?
- Tell us the building's requirements when requesting your quote. If the COI was not already discussed at booking, the published fee is $25. Confirm document timing before reserving the move.
